It seems almost everyone knows that alcohol and drug are dangerous for overall health. For someone who plans to get pregnant, both substances are extremely dangerous for the mother to be and the baby. There is a lot of information that mention about the effects on the baby if the mother is addicted to alcohol. Therefore, you need to stop your alcohol addiction at least six months before your pregnancy. This gives you enough time to repair and prepare your body for the pregnancy. Remember, you should never believe on a campaign or advertisement that mention about safe alcohol or safe amount of alcohol. It totally hurts you and your baby. stay away from some items called beer, wine, liquor, wine coolers, or mixed drinks.

In case you do not realize that you are pregnant while drinking alcohol, start to stop drinking as soon as possible. It will reduce the risk to harm the baby. However, if you have planned to get pregnant, you have to stop drinking alcohol. Do not say that it a little alcohol will be fine since you never know the right time you get pregnant.
